We're always looking for foster homes and volunteers
Foster care is the most important aspect of Ruff Luck Dog Rescue. The animals depend on qualified people to join our team.
Ruff Luck is looking for fosters to open their hearts and homes to dogs in need and care for them until they are adopted. A Ruff Luck foster’s responsibility is to love, feed, play, exercise, and provide social interaction for the foster dog.
Expectations of Fosters
Above all, we expect fosters to treat the animal as if it were your own
Current Pets
All Resident animals must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vetting. We don't make exceptions to our vetting policy. We expect you to supervise your resident dogs' and the foster dogs' interactions. You may be required to crate or separate the foster dog if necessary.
Be willing
Many of our dogs are coming from very scary shelter enviornments. They take some time to warm up and socialize. We expect our foster homes to be patient, willing and loving towards their foster dogs
Vetting
Be aware that some of our dogs pick up kennel cough or other common illnesses on their way in. Fosters must be willing to administer basic vetting care. Additionally, foster homes may be required to bring their dog to the vet
